Let us put a paddle in your hands and a saddle under your pants, as you
launch your senses on a voyage of discovery into the American west.
The Missouri River Canoe Company and the Hitchin Rail Ranch partner-up to
put mud on your feet and dust on your boots like no other outfit in this
country. Feed your cowboy spirit a feast of open-country and western hospitality, as you afford yourself an experience like none other. We'll paddle down the river to a real working ranch that borders the Upper
Missouri River near Coal Banks Landing. From there, we'll saddle up fresh
horses for a ride along the river banks and up onto the open-country
prairie. Along the way, we'll ride down ranch roads and over native grass,
leading to unique places that satisfy your individual appetite.
You can opt to campout at a private spot along the river bank or ride
back to the Virgelle Mercantile and sleep in a more familiar bed for the night.
Either way, you'll feast on fresh country fare like whiskey-glazed ribs,
coleslaw, biscuits and a variety of beverages.
